The day has come. I finally decided it is high time to let go of baking in this series and reach a little outside my comfort zone. Yes, I am speaking of Halloween make-up.
The truth is, I have two left hands when it comes to make up. I can do it… a bit, and that bit is enough for me. I do, however, love looking at other people’s pristine beauty routines and designs, and there are just so many beauty blogs in my regular reading list, you’d think I live and breathe make-up.
When it comes to a Halloween costume, or any fancy dress really, I just cannot say no. But often whichever tutorial I follow does not look even nearly as good on me as it did on the original artist. Yes, I know it is my fault. I will never be able to pull some of the designs off, because I simply do not want to devote my time to learning the craft properly. And that’s why I thought it may be useful to see some of these Halloween make-up suggestions presented on a girl that is not a beauty blogger or a make-up artist. You know, just your average Jane who cannot even draw a decent cat eye. This way you’ll be able to tell which ones still look amazing, even if not finished to a great standard, and which need high precision and lots of skill to look even remotely interesting.
Though if you ARE a beauty blogger or a make-up artist, these photos may be quite hard to go through. You have been warned.
As always, in my Let’s try series I go through things I have pinned and never attempted before. However, since I do subscribe and read so many great people out there, I decided to show you some of my favourite designs too (still made for the first time!). [Read more…]
