Have you ever wondered what the lives of cats truly look like? What they do when we are not around? Surely they cannot be sleeping all days long…? Well, they may do, but from time to time they are awake. Maybe five minutes a day. And what they spend their five minutes a day on does not need to be a mystery to you anymore: they spend it on me.
I am a cat whisperer. I don’t know how much of that is due to the fact I am a cat myself, or to the fact that I have had cats almost all my life (I started with a hamster). Cats just love me. My dad always says that animals and kids recognize good people, and, well, this time they must have it wrong – because no matter how lowly I think of myself, cats are always there.
I have a cat. His name is Maurycy and he is the cutest, fluffiest, littlest mischief in the world. But I also have hundreds and hundreds of cats that choose to spend their precious five minutes a day with me. On my street alone there are four of them, and I don’t have to go further than two streets down to pick up the fifth one. They are everywhere. And they love me. And I love them.
So, next time you wonder what your cat does when you are not around – what the secret lives of cats really look like – just think of me. We’re probably having a great time, petting and playing and photo taking. No bird killing included.
